[1] This is my suggestion (PJL). There is a family of Malcolm and Janet Gordon in Scotland's People in the parish of Abernethy and Kincardine with these dates.
A search for Malcolm MacGregor born anywhere in Scotland born between 1698 and 1720 turned up one result:
Al(exander) Mc Gregor and Els Anderson at Ardclach parish 5/6/1714. Ardclach parish is on the Findhorn, north of Abernethy and south of Nairn.

[2] This is the family at Inchrory, Kirkmichael and Tomintoul parish in the genealogy supplied to me. I found the marriage to Ann Grant in the OPR. Which is it?

[3] I found this birth of Duncan on Scotland's People - 13/11/1744. There is a marriage of Duncan MacGregor to Mary MacFarlane in the Abernethy & Kincardine parish on 20/7/1765 - but no trace of any children to the couple anywhere in Scotland. The purpose of this investigation is to trace an alternative Duncan who married Grissel Gairden at Tynemouth on 7/11/1772. Mary MacFarlane may have died and the marriage does not disprove the possibility that Duncan left Scotland subsequently.
